Standard Home and Contents treat all items the same – meaning they handle the replacement of your engagement ring in the same way as your toaster.
With us, your jewellery is protected for accidental damage, loss and theft anywhere, anytime.
Some contents insurers only cover you for damage and theft while at home, even though jewellery is made to be worn everywhere!
We deal directly with your jeweller. Plus, we payout the full value of your jewellery.
Other insurers try replace your jewellery for the lowest possible cost. This often means replacing your item with their chosen jeweller.
If the cost to replace your jewellery increases within the policy period (due to changes in the AUD or the price of precious stone and metal) we cover an extra 25% so you’re not out of pocket.
Contents insurers often have payout limits, meaning you’re not fully covered.
We know that the lose or damage of a sentimental piece of jewellery is painful enough. Our excess is only $50 so we don’t add to your pain.
